One Turn Touchdown!

I am still very active in my local Blood Bowl League, and was fortunate the other day to score a one-turn touchdown!  You study up on the moves, memorize, practice, and when it finally pays-off! Ooooh! So worth it!  My opponent sat there in stunned silence not sure how to react, while I was doing the victory dance and whooping and hollering all over my local game store!

In this pic here against the Norse (not the team I scored on... they were Skaven!), I have circled my catcher No8 who was the one I was able to run it in with and score! :D

 

For a standard human catcher with a MA8 it is going to take three 'chainpushes' to get it done. The following example shows a setup against 3 tight opposing lineman. For this one you'll need 9 players total including 1 being the Thrower in the backfield...

 

1) Step One: Blitz and close the gap... if you can get a "guard" on the line--even better!

 

2) Step Two: Move a player in to close the other gap.

 

3) Step Three: Throw the block and chainpush through!

 

4) Step Four: One last block and chainpush, and the endzone is within reach!

 

This is not as technically difficult as the one I had to do; multiple dodges, and gap plugs because my opponent did not stack his line 'side-by-side' like in this example, but the principle is sound none-the-less! Once you have it down... LOOK OUT!!! :D

Morg'n'Thorg

I have been behind on alot of projects of late, including my RL Blood Bowl league matches.  Seeing the opportunity to get in a couple of games yesterday... I took advantage!  My first match was with a coach I played last week, so I couldn't bring my humans (can't play the same team twice in a row!), so I had to bring in a fairly new dwarf team.  The difference in team values was significant, so I put good use to the $$$ and brought in Morg'n'Thorg!  Yes, he costs 430K to field... but he is worth every penny at ST6, AG3, MA6, Block and no bonehead!  This is what my opponent posted in our league forum:

"Morg was huge. He had 3 casualties, was in on the defensive play that made my long shot Td that much more difficult, and was part of his main Td chance. He was all over the place!" So... today's post is dedicated to that celebrity Ogre!

Warhammer Quest Warrior Priest

While working on my several other art, and mini projects... this OOP GW Warhammer Quest Priest has been sitting on the sidelines.  Whenever I had paint drying, or primer setting, basing work glueing, or other 'in-between' stuff... this guy would get some paint added to him!  Really like the result!

I decided against the traditional black and red of a priest, and went with softer whites and off-whites, coupled with regal blue to give it a more 'celestial' feel... I like the result! Hope you do to!

 

Necromunda Mad Donna Ulanti

Here's a 'throwback' mini that I have had in my mini collection for years... Mad Donna Ulanti!  I purchased Necromunda when it first came out, and enjoyed playing it.  Due to the rapid increase in games hitting the market, coupled with the strong foothold that 40K, Fantasy and Blood Bowl had among GW fans... the game never really took off! Blood Bowl Human Team

I was able to squeeze in a match against a venerable "TD Denying" coach in my league today... very pleasurable guy!  We were talking about how much we enjoy our human teams, and it inspired me to put these guys up (thanks Chris!)

This is a repaint of my original 'out-of-the-box' Blood Bowl humans from years ago (which I sold); but I always got so many compliments on them... I bought another set of humans and repainted them!  Love getting these minis on the pitch--one of my favorite active teams!

Blood Bowl Morg-N-Thorg

This is a GW Mor'n'Thorg SP mini that I use as a general ogre player on my human team for the RL Blood Bowl league I participate in... love the mini!

Test run

I have been painting minis for almost twenty years, and have sold them to friends and family.  I have even sold some internationally through ebay!  There are thousands of $$$ worth of miniatures I have sold over the last several years... time to get after it!
